Biography
Dr. Tiro Mampane is the Founder and President of Boitekanelo College, the first
private healthcare institution that was formed in 2007. Dr. Mampane established the
College from a small to a medium-sized enterprise, driven by the passion to address
the existing skills gap in the health sector. Boitekanelo College provides programs that
are relevant and responsive to the health care industry needs. Dr. Mampane is also
committed to the development of young entrepreneurs and in this regard; he gives
motivational talks to emerging entrepreneurs. He sees himself as an active
entrepreneur by impacting positively on the social fabric of society.
In recognition of his sterling contribution, Dr. Mampane sits on several boards that
include Citizen Entrepreneurship Development Agency (CEDA) Board of Directors,
Botswana Medicines Regulatory Authority (BOMRA) and the University of Botswana
School of Medicine Advisory Board.
Dr. Tiro Mampane is a Medical Professional from the then Medical University of
South Africa (MEDUNSA), where he obtained Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of
Surgery in 2003. He has also undertaken several Post Graduate programs in
management such as; Project Management, Corporate Governance, Strategy and
Finance for Non-Finance Managers with Gordon Institute of Business Science
(University of Pretoria). In 2018, he completed SEED Programme with Stanford
Business School.
