Global Health Research Challenge -2021 Winner

RESEARCH CHALLENGE DESCRIPTION

The Global Health Supply Chain Summit Group, in partnership with Chemonics International, is proud to have completed its inaugural Global Health Supply Chain Research Challenge.

OBJECTIVES

Through this challenge, will provide seed research grants of up to $10,000 to the authors of the top research submission(s).

ELIGIBILITY

Individuals or organizations with education or experience in health supply chains and pharmaceutical management may submit research proposals on topics that fit within the themes described above. The principal investigator team must include at least one person from a LMIC.

2021 RESEARCH CHALLENGE WINNER

CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations to a group of investigators from the Ghana Health Service’s National AIDS/STI Control Programme for being selected as the winning submission for the inaugural Global Health Supply Chain Research Challenge. Their study, An Assessment of Supply Chain Management Challenges During HIV guidelines Transitions: Evaluation of Ghana’s Recent Transitions, will assess supply chain management challenges during recent transitions in HIV management guidelines in Ghana. The research will be conducted in the next year and final results will be shared at the 2022 Global Health Supply Chain Summit.

  • Kwadwo Koduah Owusu, Specialist Pharmacist with the National AIDS/STI Control Programme (NACP) of the Ghana Health Service
  • Marijanatu Abdulai, Nurse and Data Analytics Specialist
  • Raphael Adu-Gyamfi, Medical  Doctor  and  a  Programme  Officer  with  the  National AIDS/STI Control Programme in Ghana.
