Biography

Annemarie Haverhals has a Masters in business economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and started her career at McKinsey & Company, where she worked for more than six years in both Amsterdam and Johannesburg. After that she became CFO for U-Bisys, a biotechnology company focusing on developing medicines to treat cancer. Managed the merge with another biotech company and brought the merged company Crucell to the stock exchange. In 2006 she became co-founder and partner at Spark&Co, a strategic consulting company. In 2010 she decided to move to the public sector and joined OLVG, a large Dutch hospital, with several locations in The Netherlands, responsible for Strategy and Quality Improvement. In 2016 she took the opportunity to start as Director Value Based Healthcare for Santeon, a group of seven leading Dutch teaching hospitals, to set up and lead a program aimed at improving health outcomes for patients by comparing outcomes between the seven hospitals and implement structural changes in working practices to improve them.

Since mid-2019 Annemarie is Director Programs & Innovation at i+solutions, an NGO whose mission it is to create universal access to essential medicines. She is responsible for all i+solutions’ work in LMICs to help create significant and sustainable improvements in health supply chains.
