RE-IMAGINING HEALTH SUPPLY CHAIN AND SYSTEMS FOR EQUITY, RESILIENCY, and COUNTRY OWNERSHIP
Looking beyond the pandemic, it is now being widely recognized that health systems, and supply chains supporting them, need to be transformed to address health issues in a holistic and integrated manner ensuring equitable access and increasing self-sufficiency. We need to develop next generation resilient health systems and the supply chains that support them, leveraging partnerships, bottom-up innovations, financing, workforce, and governance models to ensure equitable access to healthcare for all. A holistic and systems-based approach towards health systems and supply chains is needed to ensure end-to-end service delivery supporting diagnostics, essential medicines, and health care products to address current health issues as well as the growing burden of non-communicable diseases. The summit features keynote / plenary speakers, panel sessions, contributed talks and poster sessions to explore these issues.
The conference schedule included:
Keynotes, panel discussions, cultivated talks, virtual poster exhibits and prize presentations.
Announcement of the 15th Global Health Supply Chain prize and the Global Health Supply Chain RESEARCH CHALLENGE (co-sponsored with Chemonics), was made during the Closing Session.
