Biography
Dr. Dorothy is a researcher and lecturer in the Department of Human Nutrition and dietetics- Faculty of Health Science, Egerton University, Kenya. She has an earned Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Nutritional Sciences from Egerton University. She has carried out multi-disciplinary research in agricultural biodiversity, healthy diets, and Community intervention studies.
She has immense experience in field studies; she supervised the Humid Tropics baseline study in Vihiga County -Kenya (2014/15) and was a co-investigator in the Agrobiodiversity and Dietary Diversity of women and children project, Kenya (2015-2017), She works in close collaboration with universities and research institutions, county governments, policymakers, NGOs and local communities. Dr. Dorothy is currently supporting Nakuru County in mainstreaming of Agri-nutrition program in the Ministry of Agriculture, Health and Education.
