Biography
View Ms. Pisani’s presentation HERE.
Elizabeth Pisani is an epidemiologist focusing on the intersection between public health evidence and the messy realities of politics, culture, and money. She is currently leading research that uses economic and market indicators to predict the risk of substandard and falsified medicines in national supply chains.
Elizabeth is an Associate Professor at Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management in Rotterdam and holds honorary posts at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, the Policy Institute at King’s College London and the George Institute for Global Health. She holds a PhD in Infectious Disease Epidemiology and an MSc in Medical Demography (both from LSHTM) and, absurdly, an MA in Classical Chinese from Oxford.
