Biography

Hemant Harrielall has over fifteen years of broad based organisational leadership and operation excellence experience across various industries. His experience encompasses operations and engineering management, organisational strategy and turnaround. Hemant is currently the Managing Director of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) where is responsible to lead the organisation in sub-Saharan Africa. He enjoyed a long-standing career at Afrox a member of the Linde Group where he has served as the Head of Performance Transformation, led the Bulk Supply Chain function and led business development in the EMEA region. His role at CIPS provides an opportunity to elevate the strategic importance & intent of Procurement, support the profession through the adoption of standards and contribute to procurement process and policy developments. Hemant holds an Honors degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal and an Executive MBA from Gordan Institute of Business Science.
