Global Health Research Challenge-2022 Winner

RESEARCH CHALLENGE DESCRIPTION

The Global Health Supply Chain Summit Group, in partnership with Chemonics International, is proud to have completed its 2nd annual Global Health Supply Chain Research Challenge.

OBJECTIVES

Through this challenge, will provide seed research grants of up to $10,000 to the authors of the top research submission(s).

ELIGIBILITY

Individuals or organizations with education or experience in health supply chains and pharmaceutical management may submit research proposals on topics that fit within the themes described above. The principal investigator team must include at least one person from a LMIC.

2022 RESEARCH CHALLENGE WINNER

CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations to a group of investigators from the Vihiga and Kisumu County Governments of Kenya for being selected as the winning submission for the 2022 Global Health Supply Chain Research Challenge. Their study, Utilization of Data for Decision Making and Performance of Health Supply Chain Management Systems in Vihiga and Kisumu Counties of Kenya, will assess the level of utilization of data for decision making and potential effects on the performance of the health supply chains in Vihiga and Kisumu Counties of Kenya. Further, the study will evaluate best practices in supply chain risk management and recommendations on how to build resiliency. This will be a comparative study between Kisumu and Vihiga County. The research will be conducted in the next year and final results will be shared at the 2023 Global Health Supply Chain Summit.
